Johnny Lyle – Brands – On top of the world
I am a Specialist Brand Experience Director and have been since way before it was cool to call things brands and talk about the experience they deliver.
I work with in three main areas. Firstly, for Purple Circle – A business I started with Michael Slack and Darren Fisk in 1991. We are based in Nottingham, although we do work all over Europe. Our work covers every little aspect of branding from writing to imagery and graphic design. We have created all sorts of unusual branding related projects.
We work in loads of different sectors and specialise in clear thinking backed up with exceptional graphic design. If we have one speciality, it is getting under the skin of the consumer. Why would they want to buy, how could we make them love your brand more than any other in your market and maybe even make them buy more of it, more often?
This has to all be done whilst delivering a sensible Return on Investment (ROI). Money spent on design can be frivolous and wasteful, or it can be focussed and useful. We prefer to work in the useful bit.

I also work with the exceptional Visitor Experience Consultants – A Different View, who you can see here. Much of this work is in establishing vision and values for organisations to allow them to build truly coherent brands where every single touchpoint is not just on message, but brilliant and memorable.
I also work very closely with BeWILDerwood – the remarkable visitor attraction in Hoveton, Norfolk. I love this place and have been involved since it was just a swamp and the Twiggles hadn’t been rediscovered.
